I wanted to pick a funny quote, but this one struck me.  I feel like my life has changed so much each year, especially beginning with 6 ago.  At that time, I was newly pregnant with my first babe, not realizing the degree in which my world would shift forever after.  On my birthday, I sat down to open the present from my husband, and the one that he got me that was ‘from the boys’.  He had not actually had them pick it out, so my #1 son didn’t really get that it was from him.  I saw him sneak away out of the room, and thought it a bit odd that he would leave for ‘present time’.  About a minute later, he RAN into the room and exclaimed, “Mom!! I made you something for your birthday!” and on a small piece of paper he had written ‘Max Mom’.  Of course, my heart immediately melted.

As far as adding another candle to my ‘cake’, I actually am not really caring that much at this moment.  It is what it is, and I am grateful for every moment, every day.  It’s all about the presence. 😉
