{209/366 | Texx} Olym-PICS

Hee Hee Olym-Pics get it? Oy Vey, Me! I accidentally erased my pics from yesterday so had to retake this….The 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremonies were last night in London. As I sat and watched with my family, I was surprisingly overcome with emotion. This will be the first Olympics that Mini-me will remember. I’m a sad that as a whole the Olympic Games are not (to many) as magical as they used to be.

I remember when the entire world stopped, for two weeks every four years. Stopped to support their nations & these amazing athletes. I remember the magic that surrounded all the games that were televised (there were only 4 TV channels back then – I know gasp). It’s always been a lifelong dream to be IN the Olympics. As I hear of a few 70+ year-old Olympiads, there’s hope (?). Maybe someday, I shall put it on my

bucket-list. I don’t yet have a bucket-list, but think I should write some of these goals down. Go BIG or Go home, Muthas!

Howdy! Obsessed with all things photography. Love to teach, and heal through this art. #photogHER2Day Coming to you from Austin, Tx. Above all else (and it's a lot) I'm Mom to Abby & Atlas. Married to my greatest supporter and friend, Curt. Everyday, I choose gratitude over grief.  #MakeTheTime to create for me, so I can be the very best for all those in my life. My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
