We went on a field trip today with Mini-me’s school. We went to ancient caverns that were discovered in the early 60s…IT. WAS. AWESOME! I can’t wait to go back when the loverly D300s is back in these arms. She does a bit better in low light conditions.
In these caverns they’ve found saber tooth tiger, mammoth, giant armadillo (size of a VW bug), camel, extinct horse & sloth bones from the Ice Age. Crazy.

One of the little cutie pies (age 5) in Mini-me’s class knew all the latin names of these creatures and took   over the tour, literally, for a bit.

My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
