The Boy was on a mission today at the pool. Someday I’ll get him smiling. He really does smile, a lot. You wouldn’t know if from my pics though.
I’m in the midst of hours and hours of podcast from a B&W Art Photographer, Brooks Jenses editor of Lenswork.com. His podcasts started in 2004 and it’s interesting to hear him, his thoughts on photography and how very much photography has changed through the past eight years. Ipso facto you’ll probably be seeing a bunch of B&W and Sepia pics from me whilst I obsess over this artist’s theories and photog preachin’. I ♥ it all! Now I need to learn how to make a proper Black & White, down the long road. See you in 10 years.

My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.

    Sounds interesting. It’s funny you mention that, though, because I had been thinking earlier today about the fact that I have very few (if any) b and w in our 366! We’re going to the place that we had our b and w class tomorrow night, so I might give it a whirl again!
