{32/366 | JJ} Ommm….
I made it to ‘Crack of Dawn’ Yoga with a little help from Texx! 🙂 I realized that it was my first yoga class since I was pregnant with #2, and he’s nearly three! Needless to say, my tree would not have been able to withstand the smallest hint of a breeze. It was different than other classes that I’ve been to, and even though it was not what I had expected, it was quite nice. I had to consciously ‘let go’ of my expectations and comparisons and just enjoy.
Also, in doing this pic of the day I realized how much I still hate the shape of my feet. HOWEVER, even though I did not wish to put an in-focus picture on the blog of them, I became aware of the fact that I no longer obsess how unattractive I believe my feet to be. In middle school I clearly remember taping my wide feet so they would look thinner in my socks during gym. I would hide them, and wish that I had been born with my younger sister’s perfectly shaped arches and metatarsals! I don’t think that I am the only one of us who is in a place of self-reflection and evaluation right now, but this is a nice realization. I’ve come to terms with my unfeminine feet and can do yoga with unabashed joy. They might even serve as more stable roots, in fact!

Awesome lines in this shot. I’m starting a new relationship with my feet now that Joe’s not here to call them waterskiis anymore! Any two feet that endure running do not deserve to be put down!

I had another class today of Teaching PhotoSkool and my student has been moved, by your posts. She sent me an excerpt of this post . After I called her a JJ Stalker she said, “It’s more like, i like her character on the blog! really it’s a combo of the pics and the blurbs she write, she is a good story teller.”
You’re the first to get a PhotogHer Stalker, Woop! ,Wide feet and all~all the better to keep you grounded.
