{4/52 | Texx} Fly Away

After the kids took me out to breakfast & then Home Depot, they were promised some park time. So, we hit up the “Big” park in our community and we went for a little walk. So, much for not doing anything today. This was all before Noon.

Got to, finally, really use my new lens. It’s going to take some getting used to, but I love that Mini-Me’s feet are off the ground as she dashes past me.

My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.

      An off brand 11-24 f/2.8. I was originally looking at a 24 f/1.4 but with our cameras (not being pro) it magnifies by 1.5x so a fixed 24 would really be a 36mm. Tara mentioned this at the beginning of her workshop, and then the sales rep reminded me about that when he saw my camera. It’s awesome but really, really different.
