We went to the water, to say Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss. I can’t tell you the absolute joy and feeling of accomplishment I felt when Mini-me asked if we could do this for The Doctor. As many of you know this is how our family celebrates the lives of our loved ones who’ve since left this realm. The fact that my Five Year-Old  will no doubt carry on this tradition, the fact that she will, hopefully, be able to move past the grief and sorrow that she will inevitably have to go through someday, the fact that someday she will go to the water on a loved one’s birthday~someday on my birthday~  to Celebrate LIFE …Yes I say to myself, “Job Well Done Mama!”

My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
