{91/366 | JJ} Steamy!
There is something about having your small children on one of the world’s most active volcano (Kiluaea has been in constant eruption since 1983) that is slightly unsettling. Although no flowing lava was visible, having steam vents all around was real enough for me! We walked through an amazing lava tube, and watched an educational film from the 70s in the visitor center’s theater. The boys were enthralled, and I had no idea that at times there were a lava fountain of over 2000 feet tall in the 60s! Our planet is amazing, and scary and so alive!
