{94/366 | JJ} Perfection
This was the most perfect morning on our vacation! Wade and I woke up before dawn and went on an early morning kayaking trip. The swells were intimidating, and the resulting waves crashing on the black, volcanic cliffs were spectacular. After reaching a protected cove, we hopped off and snorkeled in crystal clear water. Since the kids were having fun with the grandparents, we escaped for breakfast afterward to the Coffee Shack south of Kona. This small restaurant sits on a steep hillside about 1400 feet above the ocean, with SPECTACULAR views, including Kealakekua Bay, coffee fields, and this 85 year old avacado tree, which meets this papaya plant. We leisurely drank our a cups of java, and enjoyed the feeling of BC (before children) vacationing. It was heaven! I realized that although trips with the boys are so very much fun, relaxing they are not.
If you’re ever on the Big Island, do your very best to make a visit.! http://www.coffeeshack.com/
