Mentoring was a FULL day, I am tiiiirrreed. I’ve learned a lot so far and so very excited to head West tomorrow for a day of landscape photography. Today we hit a 3 very different spots to snap. It was awesome. I learned a lot & am spent. We shot some trees that I’ve been dying to capture but haven’t been able to  until now. Headed over to the camera store and I rented a tilt shift lens…eeee. I’m going to have to practice on that.

Finishing her art work of what she does... Surfs. Hula Hoops. Skateboards

Then we hit the graffiti walls and while I shoot a silly shot of me met Lara an artist with an incredible spirit. Just sat and shot pics of her while she contributed to this amazing place.  Then we were off to the water and bridges, then kiddie pick up, then sunset capture (on the way home with said spent children). Then Home for critiques (eee) and post processing tips. T-Mentor help me with this one and it crazy what a couple of nudges on the sliding scales do. It was fun. I am tired and looking forward to tomorrow.  I bid you adieu.

Howdy! Obsessed with all things photography. Love to teach, and heal through this art. #photogHER2Day Coming to you from Austin, Tx. Above all else (and it's a lot) I'm Mom to Abby & Atlas. Married to my greatest supporter and friend, Curt. Everyday, I choose gratitude over grief.  #MakeTheTime to create for me, so I can be the very best for all those in my life. My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
