{354/366 | texx} The Nut!

Baby-Girl and I  attended our yearly Mommy-Daughter Nutcracker last night.  We both were in all-our-glory. It was a lovely evening & sat front row. She marveled at the orchestra pit below, the dancers above & the lovely mom-daughter duo whom sat next to us. Ironically, they asked me to take their pic, by chance when we were  out in the lobby before the show. The mom said to me,  “Savor it! I used to bring her *nodding at her 16 year-old* daughter dressed just like her.”  She was referring to  Mini-me’s dress as she posed with her daughter. I told her to stop, we both were misty-eyed; then  I handed her daughter’s iPhone back to them. They too have been coming to The Nutcracker since she was a Mini-me’s age. I shall cherish every moment…Yes, even the chaos. Now more than ever I’m aware on how little time we have here. Gonna make it count!

My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
