{37/365 | texx} Adventure Us

As children my brother and I would sit for hours transporting ourselves into the pages of our extensive National Geographic collection. Each page with colorful cultures and distant lands. New adventures  with each turn. Transported through space and time;  while soaking in each wonderfully crafted image and article.

This 2013 is going to be quite reflective for me. I could see so clearly who and where I’d be by now. Thankfully I’m actually a much better person than I ever could’ve imagined. The joy and utter gratitude I have for my wonderful family & beautiful friends are second to none.

I still want MORE. No, I don’t feel guilty for it either. There are many adventures still to be had. Amongst them are: Traveling to some of these foreign lands. To watch my children grow, love and become citizens of the world. To make my mark. To leave the world a better place. Life, this is the Adventure.

Married to my greatest supporter and friend, Curt. Everyday, I choose gratitude over grief.  #MakeTheTime to create for me, so I can be the very best for all those in my life. My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
