{70/366 | Texx} The Big Easy
To the right is my selfie for the week I’m in the lower right hand corner.
We made it here, to our hotel mid-afternoon. This is THE most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed. The hubs found some insane web deal and we’re staying here for about the same price as the hole in the wall Clarion we stayed in last night outside of Houston. The hotel is also super, duper kid friendly. With 10pm Le PB&J they invite all the children staying to come down to the restaurant and have a late night PB&J and Hot Chocolate. Oh how I wish the children were older to enjoy this, everyone is fast asleep as I write this post.
If you asked me 10 years ago (heck 5 years ago) what my first time struttin’ down Bourbon Street might be like; I assure you my answer wouldn’t’ve reassemble today. Walking through the music filled streets of New Orleans, packed with heaps of Kentucky fans (for the Southeastern Basketball Conference), just me & Mini-me (dressed in her most practicable floor length gown). Every storefront window with Bedazzeled EVERYTHING. We were both in our glory! She asked if we could live here next. LOL. On our way back to the Hotel we stopped to get dinner for the boys. It was her first Shirley Temple at her first Bar. Where better than The Big Easy, at the age of 5, to hit your first bar?
As if the day couldn’t get better….The Hubs and Atlas went to check out the rooftop pool and whirlpool. Five minutes later they returned and the Hubs demanded I grab the camera and get up there before the light was lost. From the rooftop you could hear the two separate parades that flanked the hotel one for Kentucky and the other for Vanderbilt. The sun set whilst the fam. enjoyed the whirlpool then the kids took a dip in the pool (bugging that sweet couple behind them, I was hoping he was going to propose – they looked so perfect together). A perfect day indeed. Up it’s 10 I think I’m going to go check out what this Le PB&J is all about…
