Sunrise and Sunset

Day 1 of 365 ~ Chandra

2011 November 1st

I climbed on our roof in Sequim one last time to watch the sunrise. To stare at the Cascades in the distance and a sparkling slice of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Above our little sleepy town. Curt and the children had left 3 days before. I stayed behind to adventure down with Mama B in a medical RV.
We closed on our home in Austin.  Mama B and I said our last alohas to the PNW and headed on our last big adventure together from Sequim to Austin.
I witnessed some beautiful UPs and DOWNs on that roof. It’s where #LookEast & #LookWest were born; a lovely spot indeed.

Two years ago this very day we started a new chapter in the house of my dreams. This is our home & she’s a beauty. Surrounded by ancient oaks and delightful neighbors. In this room that I type where she and I watched movies into the night, and we said our final goodbyes to Mama B. On a wall upstairs we mark how much our children have grown.  It’s been 2 years I should probably decorate sometime soon huh?
This is our home, and I love it. No matter where we live though we’ll make sure that our house is a home.
From today until forever we shall fill it with love, light and laughter.Sunset home Austin, Tx

Howdy! Obsessed with all things photography. Love to teach, and heal through this art. #photogHER2Day Coming to you from Austin, Tx. Above all else (and it's a lot) I'm Mom to Abby & Atlas. Married to my greatest supporter and friend, Curt. Everyday, I choose gratitude over grief.  #MakeTheTime to create for me, so I can be the very best for all those in my life. My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
