Day 2 of 365 ~ Texx

2011 November 2 Mama B and I were headed down to Texas from Sequim on the medical RV. Exquiped with an RN and 2 drivers to haul through day and night. We were worried the trip would be super hard on her she was already so frail. To my surprise she LOVED it! She wanted to gaze out the window at the passing scenery across this beautiful nation. From being confined to a wheelchair and bed for the better part of the 10 years prior to a wide open view of amazing snow covered mountains in Utah, to golden hills through Navada. It was an amazing adventure. I’ve been unable to write about it until now.

2013 November 2 My front yard. Love this grass and the way it sways in the wind. I’ve posted maybe one or two images of my home since moving in here. The other day I had a total epiphany that I had a limiting belief…”I don’t deserve to live here.” This is totally nuts and both my husband worked hard and made huge sacrifices to be able to have the lives we now have.  I’m proud of our family and our home.  #InPlainSight a course I’m doing this month run by the lovely Catherine Just asks us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. I shall past an image a day for the rest of the month from #HomeSweetHome more specifically the front yard.

Howdy! Obsessed with all things photography. Love to teach, and heal through this art. #photogHER2Day Coming to you from Austin, Tx. Above all else (and it's a lot) I'm Mom to Abby & Atlas. Married to my greatest supporter and friend, Curt. Everyday, I choose gratitude over grief.  #MakeTheTime to create for me, so I can be the very best for all those in my life. My "Why": 10 years ago I lost my brother. He was my best friend, my mentor, my compass.  He got sick out of the blue at the 30 years-old and was an inspiration to many. He traveled the world and never had many images to show for it all. I cherish ALL the images we have of Rafael. Blurry or not, I only wish we had more. I capture images of my everyday. Obssessed with capturing moments of my children, of my life and even my businesses. I believe the only thing that seperates a good image from a great image is its ability to tell a story and ultimately make you, the viewer, feel something.
